Surfshark on Multiple Devices: What to Check Before Buying
Check Surfshark apps, subscription bundles and billing terms against the devices you actually use before committing to a longer VPN plan.
Facts that can change should include a source and check date. Benchmark claims should state the plan, region, method, and test period.
Surfshark advertises unlimited simultaneous device connections. That is useful to investigate if you switch between a laptop, phone and television, but the device count is only the first question. Check whether each device has the app and features you need before choosing a subscription length.
Make a device list before comparing bundles#
The official VPN page lists apps for major desktop and mobile platforms as well as browser extensions. A supported platform does not establish that every feature works identically across its apps. Look up the installation instructions for your operating system and version, especially for a router or television.
Use a small worksheet rather than relying on a product logo:

Start with the smallest useful subscription#
Surfshark's pricing page lists Starter, One and One+. Compare the included services for the plan and market shown to you. Do not select a larger bundle simply because it has the longest feature list.
Write down which additional service you would actually use and what you already pay for an equivalent tool. If you cannot identify a use for an extra, leave it out of your comparison. Check platform and regional availability before assigning any value to it.
Compare the payment, not just the monthly equivalent#
The pricing page offers different subscription periods and notes that currency, tax and coupons can affect the amount. We are not treating a displayed promotional price as a universal quote.
Before paying, record the initial total, the service period it covers and the renewal terms. Keep a copy of the order summary. If a long commitment only looks attractive after assuming years of use you are not sure about, compare a shorter term on its own merits.
Check the refund conditions for the store or payment channel you will use. A promotional guarantee should not be read as permission to cancel any future charge for a refund. For questions about a specific payment, use Surfshark's official support route.
Try the tasks that matter to you#
After purchase, test the devices and applications on your worksheet while any applicable refund window remains open. Note the device, app version and network when a problem occurs so you can describe it to support. A successful connection indicator alone does not answer whether your intended task works.
